experience in finance and accounting field. My professional history includes positions such as accountant,
finance and admin assistant, senior finance assistant and operation finance officer at Islamic Relief
organization as well as my current position as accounting specialist at GIZ.
Most recently, my responsibilities as accounting specialist at GIZ match the qualifications you are seeking
as a Finance Manager, my responsibilities include, monitor grant agreements with local NGOs, Review
NGOs budgets before entering in business with (GIZ) and Cross-checking clearances provided and
financial reports (of LNGOs) against budgets. Make budget vs actual report (BVA). Preparation of financial
reports to management and identify the needs and support for development of staff and partners (where
needed). Also, part of my responsibly is following up field sub-offices (finance staff) and provide them
with guidance and develop on financial aspects. Responsible for banks’ accounts reconciliation monthly
based and make control on banking. Recently, acting as a focal point for banking communications and
administration at headquarters.
Maintain real accounts (payables, receivables) and reports regularly to managements. Checks the payment
and receipts submitted by the projects/programmed for completeness and accuracy of financial information
recorded allocation to cost units and categories and make correction when necessary.
Provide advice to projects to implement cost-saving and maintenance strategies. Provide technical and
operational support to project coordinator on budget preparation according to operational policies and
financial procedures.
Conduct an internal control spot check to verify of accuracy of applying rules and regulations of financial
procedures and financial records. Review and process payment requests, check financial clearances, and
ensure that payments are processed promptly. Prepare (checklist) control for the supporting documents for
projects and office for payments to ensure the completeness of documents. Dealing with auditors (External
and Internal)
